Angela Mancini is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of New Jersey and the owner of La Luna Counseling and Wellness. Angela Mancini is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from New Jersey City University and her Master's Degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling through Kean University. Angela is a National Certified Counselor and is also certified in Disaster Response and a Certified Behavioral Assistant. Additionally, Angela is a 200-hour certified yoga and meditation instructor. Angela has received extensive training in substance abuse through Ocean County Community College.
Angela has worked the past three years in Hazlet, NJ where she fine tuned her private practice skills and knowledge before deciding to make the move towards a new form of alternative therapy. Angela has worked with the State of New Jersey Department of Children and Family Services. Her clinical work experience has included direct patient care in inpatient settings, private practice, and a substance abuse center. Angela has attended multiple trainings on domestic violence while she was a caseworker in a domestic violence emergency shelter. She also received her Disaster Response Certificate while supervising Crisis Clinicians in Atlantic County immediately following Hurricane Sandy. For three years, Angela was an in-home Behavioral Assistant working one-on-one with children ranging from ages 5 to 17 years old, helping them to develop appropriate behavioral interventions. Angela has experience in facilitating groups, biopsychosocial assessments, and mindfulness-based interventions, leading her clients to have an improvement in both mental and spiritual health.

Angela is able to incorporate the use of movement, creative writing, art, into her therapeutic counseling with her clients. She has seen that the utilization of mindfulness-based treatment can have tremendous benefits for clients who are struggling with pain, depression, anxiety, and/or attention-deficit disorder. Her experience as a Certified Yoga Instructor also has been a foundation for the wide range of meditations and mindfulness-based therapies she uses with her clients to help them achieve emotional wellness.
