Ally Vernaglia is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) through the state of New Jersey, who received her Masters of Social Work at Monmouth University.
Ally currently works full time as the NICU Social Worker at Monmouth Medical Center. Working with NICU parents has not only made Ally realize her passion lies with supporting moms in any part of the motherhood journey, but also that life is unpredictable...especially with a newborn! Ally does not have children yet, but does understands what it is like to have a 'plan A' in your head of how things are supposed to go .... then having to adapt to 'plan B' whether you want too or not! Children keep you on your toes, and Ally is here to help find peace in that chaos.
Ally's approach to therapy is strongly client-led, recognizing that each person and their story is unique and individual. She uses various techniques in working with clients to help to understand the source of their distress, validate that distress, and remind clients of their own resilience to overcome such distress. Ally's goal is to work collaboratively with clients in recognizing their strengths in order to have a peaceful day-to-day life, which we all deserve!
Life is hard. Motherhood is hard. But talking about it shouldn't have to be - Ally is ready to listen to your story today!
