Kate Caldwell is a Licensed Associate Counselor through the state of New Jersey. She earned her Master’s in School Counseling from Monmouth University, along with a Graduate Certificate in Professional Counseling. Kate completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
Before transitioning into private practice, Kate worked as a school counselor for over ten years, supporting students and families. Her experience in education has given her a deep understanding of child development, family systems, and the challenges that accompany life transitions.
Kate has experience working with women in the perinatal and postpartum periods, helping mothers navigate the emotional changes that come with pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood. She has completed Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) trainings and is a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI).
Kate also leads the La Luna Book Club, a supportive community designed to help mothers connect, share experiences, and find encouragement through literature and open conversation.
In her counseling practice, Kate integrates CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs. She offers both virtual sessions and walk & talk therapy, combining the benefits of movement and nature with the therapeutic process.
After becoming a mother of two young children herself, Kate discovered a renewed passion for helping others navigate the complex emotions of motherhood and personal growth. Outside of counseling, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on bike rides, playing pickleball, and diving into a great book.
