Lauren is currently awaiting her Licensed Associate Counselor certificate through the State of New Jersey. She is an alum Sacred Heart University with her Bachelors in Psychology and a recent graduate from NYU with her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health and Wellness.
As a therapist, she believes that each client deserves to have a setting in which they feel safe and comfortable. She believes that therapy is not one size fits all, she treats each client as an individual, working together to create a treatment plan that will allow each client to get the most out of their therapy sessions. She works with a diverse client base ranging from adolescence, adults, families, and couples. She feels that we are all able to overcome obstacles that come our way as long as we are given proper tools and framework to do so. It is important for her to connect with each client so that we are setting realistic goals that are attainable and achievable in everyday life.
Lauren tends to use a person centered approach in order to build rapport with each client before aiding in developing the framework to help each client overcome different obstacles in their life. She uses a lot of strength based tools through therapy sessions and tend to lean on validation, mindfulness, and empathy when working with clients.
