Hi! My name is Marielle and my passion for birth work came about after the birth of my daughter. While having a very long labor and delivery, my doula helped me persevere with things not going as planned. After experiencing a very positive doula experience, I was drawn to becoming a doula myself. I did extensive research throughout my pregnancy to help learn more about empowering births and informed decisions. A huge aspect of my pregnancy that made things challenging was being a Type 1 Diabetic (since the age of 5). I found myself having to find a balance between the medical and holistic practices. I believe every woman has the right to choose what is best for mother and baby. I believe there is a deep emotional, physical and spiritual journey to bring life into the world, I am honored to be able to support women in doing so. I understand the importance of holding and nourishing the mother during this sacred time. I have a passion for continuing to learn and grow within my practice. I love talking about everything and anything pregnancy, birth and breast feeding.
