Mabell is a Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). She holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and she completed her Bachelor's of Arts in Criminal Justice and Information Technology at Monmouth University. Mabell believes in the powerful mind-body-spirit connection and tailors each session to your specific needs. She recognizes that each person's journey is unique and that a one-size-fits-all approach won't do. Through collaborative sessions, she works with you to understand and address the challenges you are facing. Mabell's goal is to help you discover the inner strength and resilience that already exists within you. Her approach celebrates neurodivergence and is trauma-informed, which means that she recognizes the prevalence of trauma in the general population and takes steps to create a safe and comfortable environment that feels empowering for all clients. Rather than focusing solely on problems or deficits, she empowers clients by highlighting their innate strengths and resources, helping them effectively navigate life's challenges.
Mabell has extensive experience working with children and families with the Department of Homeland Security. She has also provided counseling to adults and children in therapeutic community organizations and in-home services. She uses her cultural and spiritual insight, as well as lifetime experiences, to hold up the mirror and support you through the journey of discovery and change.
As a mother and professional therapist, Mabell is prepared to journey alongside you with humor, grace, and empathy. Mabell's therapeutic approach is an integrative practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy complemented through mindfulness and spiritual practice techniques to treat your entire being.
