Olivia Hornik, LMSW

Olivia Hornik is a licensed master social worker who brings warmth, empathy, and a deep commitment to supporting clients through life's challenges. With a Master's degree in Social Work from NYU's Silver School and a background in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, Olivia combines strong clinical training with a genuine passion for helping others heal and grow.

She works with individuals and families of all ages, with
a special focus on adolescents, young adults, and perinatal mothers. Olivia's experience as a youth mental health mentor laid the foundation for her ongoing dedication to supporting young people as they navigate identity, relationships, and the transitions of growing up.

Olivia's approach is collaborative and person-centered. She draws from a blend of evidence-based methods-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, trauma-informed care, and psychoanalytic insight-tailoring each session to what will best serve the individual. She believes that therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, grounded in trust and mutual respect.

Rather than focusing solely on what's "wrong," Olivia helps clients recognize and build on their strengths. She creates a space where people can share openly, feel truly heard, and begin to reconnect with their resilience. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, relationship dynamics, or major life changes, Olivia will meet you where you are and walk with you toward where you want to be.

Olivia's professional experience includes working with adoptive families at Spence-Chapin Services to Children and Families, where she gained deep expertise in adoption-competent care and complex family dynamics. At PRFI Mental Health Clinic, she supported individuals in crisis and participated in meaningful community-based mental health initiatives.

Clients often describe Olivia as warm, thoughtful, and down-to-earth. She believes in the power of building a strong therapeutic relationship first because real healing starts with connection. Therapy with Olivia is not about quick fixes or judgment-it's about thoughtful exploration, collaborative planning, and building resilience together. Olivia's goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to the life you want to live.
